The Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Ministry of Education and Science of Mongolia and George Mason University, USA. Within this umbrella MoU signed by the Ministry of Education and Science of Mongolia and George Mason University, the Mongolian University of Science and Technology and George Mason University will implement the 2+2 programs.
George Mason University the largest public research university in Virginia with four campuses in Virginia and one in Songdo, Korea. George Mason University has grown to more than 37,000 students from 130 countries and all 50 states. Under today's MoU, Mongolian students in the 2+2 program are required to have minimum GPA 2.75, TOEFL IBT of 80 and IELTS 6.5. The MoU provides for the transfer of up to 90 credits between Mongolian University of Science and Technology and George Mason University and provide up to 12,000 USD per year for Mongolian students depending on students’ academic performance.
