T. Nyam-Ochir, State Secretary of the Ministry of Education of Mongolia, met with a delegation led by Su He, Vice Chairman of the People’s Government of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of the People’s Republic of China.
The meeting focused on the outcomes of short-term professional development programmes for teachers jointly organized by Mongolia and the Education Department of Inner Mongolia, as well as scholarship programmes and cooperation between universities.
The two sides also discussed progress on the establishment of the International Engineering University, a branch of the Mongolian University of Science and Technology (MUST), being jointly established by MUST and Inner Mongolia University of Technology.
The Government of Mongolia adopted Resolution No. 284 on June 4, 2025, to initiate preparations for the establishment of the university, and subsequently approved the establishment of the International Engineering University as a branch of MUST under Resolution No. 240 dated December 31, 2025.
