The Government of Mongolia, through Resolution No. 284 adopted on June 4, 2025, approved the establishment of the International Joint University of Engineering as a branch of the Mongolian University of Science and Technology (MUST).
Pursuant to an order of the Minister of Education, a 14-member Board of Directors was established with equal representation from Mongolia and the partner country, with each side holding 50 percent of the membership. Following extensive preparations, the university has officially opened its doors today.
The establishment of the university is expected to contribute to the development of engineering and technology education, while further expanding cooperation between higher education institutions of the two countries and strengthening human resource capacity.
The official launch of the International Joint University of Engineering was announced during the Development Conference of the High-Level Applied Research University of Inner Mongolia University of Technology. The opening ceremony was attended by State Secretary T. Nyam-Ochir, Director of MUST T. Namnan, and other representatives.
