WorldSkills Shanghai 2026 will be held in Shanghai, China, from September 22 to 27.
Mongolia has completed preparations to participate in the international skills competition, which brings together competitors from around the world to demonstrate excellence in vocational skills. The Mongolian team will compete in 12 priority occupations aligned with the country’s key economic sectors.
Minister of Education L. Enkh-Amgalan emphasized that, as skills become increasingly important alongside knowledge, the Mongolian team carries the important responsibility of representing the development of Mongolia’s technical and vocational education and training sector on the international stage.
More than 200 representatives and supporters from the public and private sectors, professional associations, and training institutions have registered to support Mongolia’s participation, demonstrating the importance attached to the event.
WorldSkills Shanghai 2026 places a strong focus on emerging occupations, future jobs, digital technologies, and green development. Participation in the competition provides an opportunity to bring Mongolia’s skills development closer to international standards and contribute to strengthening the country’s economic growth and competitiveness.
Mongolia will also host the WorldSkills International General Assembly in 2027.
