On September 9, 2026, Mongolian Minister of Education L. Enkh-Amgalan met with Maria Gabriel, UNESCO Deputy Director-General in charge of Communication and Information, in Paris.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on opportunities for cooperation in developing Mongolia’s National Artificial Intelligence Strategy in line with international standards and ethical principles.
They also discussed the possibility of adapting UNESCO’s publication Growing up in a Connected World: A Family Guide for the Digital Age to the Mongolian context and using it as a guide for parents and caregivers to help children engage in the digital environment safely and responsibly.
UNESCO expressed its readiness to cooperate with Mongolia in these areas and reaffirmed its support for translating the proposed areas of cooperation into concrete actions.
