State Secretary of the Ministry of Education T. Nyam-Ochir met with a delegation led by Dr. Andreas Handschuh, Head of the State Chancellery and State Secretary for Federal and European Affairs of the Free State of Saxony, Germany, to exchange views on expanding bilateral educational cooperation.
During the meeting, both sides agreed to strengthen ongoing initiatives under the Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2023, increase student, teacher, and researcher exchanges, and expand joint training programs.
The German delegation expressed interest in maintaining continued collaboration, facilitating opportunities for German scientists and researchers to work in Mongolia, and promoting high school student exchange programs.
Furthermore, discussions focused on developing long-term partnerships with Saxony's universities to train Mongolian engineering and technical personnel, as well as further strengthening cooperation through the German-Mongolian Institute for Resources and Technology (GMIT).
