Minister of Education and Science Mr L.Enkh-Amgalan received newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Mongolia, Mr Helmut Rudolf Kulitz to his office today. /2023.10.05/
During the meeting, Minister L.Enkh-Amgalan emphasized the close cooperation of the two countries in the field of education, especially the joint cooperation in the technical and vocational education as Germany is one of the leading countries with excellence in the technical and vocational education sector.
Currently, with the support of The Federal Republic of Germany, Cooperative Technical and Vocational Education and Training (cTVET) project and German Mongolian Institute for Resources and Technology (GMIT) project are being implemented. According to the Negotiation on Development Cooperation between the Government of Mongolia and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany which was was signed earlier this September in Ulaanbaatar, these two projects will be continue implementing until 2026.
Minister L.Enkh-Amgalan expressed that 2024 is the 50th anniversary of the Mongolia and The Federal Republic of Germany's 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations. For the celebration, The Government of Mongolia has planned many activities and announced 2024 as the year of "Mongolian-German Education Cooperation Year".
The parties discussed about the "Saxony Education Day fair" event which is to be organized this Novermber by the Ministry of Education and Science of Mongolia. Also, exchanged opinions on cooperating on the President's Message-2,100 scholarship program, and the preparation of 1,000 engineers in Germany initiated by the Prime Minister.
