PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT IN TEACHER AND CHILD DEVELOPMENT TO BE STRENGTHENED

The Minister of Education L.Enkh-Amgalan attended the opening ceremony of the 59th National Academic Conference, themed “The Role and Participation of Parents in Educational Reform”, to outline the Ministry's strategic priorities.

This year’s conference brings together 236 educators and officials from 21 provinces and 9 districts. This cohort includes 101 teachers from preschool education and 135 from general education and vocational education. Out of numerous submissions, 60 selected research papers will be presented during the event.

The Minister of Education L.Enkh-Amgalan emphasized the importance to effectively implement a comprehensive framework of six core reforms: teacher professional development, results-based financing, digital transformation, curriculum reform, evaluation system, and depoliticized  management.

  • To alleviate the teacher’s workload, the “Let’s Listen to the Teacher” campaign will be officially launched this month.
  • We must shift public perception so that the phrase “The best school is the one closest to home” is not just a ministerial slogan, but a reality affirmed by students and parents alike.
  • Following the successful resolution of the kindergarten lottery system, the Ministry is moving toward implementing a neighborhood-based primary school system.
  • Tuition fees at certain private schools have reached 70-100 million MNT. Thus, the Ministry will begin integrating standardized student performance assessments into private school evaluations.
  • Starting September 1, 2026, the Ministry will implement an “AI Teaching Assistant" program, providing one AI assistant for every teacher and one for every student to enhance personalized learning.
